Story

Kartik Raju’s character Deva Atharva Karna attempts to become a police officer but is unable to fulfill his dream due to his asthma. Atharva is told by someone that the Clues Team has a promising future. Atharva joins the Clues Team and uses his aptitude for analysis to solve a lot of cases. At a murder scene one day, Atharva runs across Nithya (Simran), his college crush. Nithya approaches Atharva slowly. Atharva is presented to Nithya by her friend and Tollywood actress Joshni Huparikar (Ayraa Jain). One day, Joshni and her boyfriend Siva are discovered dead in her apartment. According to the police, Siva shot Joshni before taking his own life. The murder mystery needs to be solved for the remainder of the movie.

Review

There have been other crime thrillers, but Atharva stands out because it emphasizes the role that the Clues Team plays in solving crimes. After starting the job, the protagonist solves a few cases, and the first hour of these scenes is intense.

In the movie, Karthik Raju had a passable performance. Simran Choudhary performs admirably in a small part. Ayraa Jain performed a good job. The movie moves along quickly in the first half. Despite a brief lull in the action, Joshni’s character’s murder sets the movie back on course.

The second half has problems, even though the first half is passable. The primary issue is that everything is settled swiftly, which eliminates the element of interest. Given the nature of its subject, the film is intended to be subtle, but after a while it gets loud and ostentatious with superfluous heroism.

The speech is terrible, with the long monologue in the first half feeling particularly out of place. Additionally, the speech makes the warning moments seem ordinary. Atharva serves as an illustration of how unneeded music can negatively impact a movie. The movie would have been much better without those songs because the lyrics are awful.

Conclusion

Overall, Atharva is a mediocre suspense thriller that emphasizes the value of the hints section. The first half was engaging and had some suspenseful moments despite its shortcomings, but as the second half begins, everything goes crazy. Atharva’s shortcomings include terrible music, an overemphasis on heroics, and a mediocre second half.
