Story
Top Indian Air Force pilots who suspect an enemy strike on the Srinagar base camp assemble a special squad. Fighter’s concept isn’t very original, much like Siddharth Anand’s other films, but the filmmaker once again crafts a compelling story that keeps our interest for the most part. Character introductions take up the first forty minutes or so, after which the conflict is introduced. Aerial action blocks with good execution come next.
Bravo to the Fighter crew for flawlessly executing every aerial battle scene. These combat sequences enhance the narrative by offering a fully immersive experience. To help us better comprehend and follow the aerial sceneries, the crew provided minute information. Fighter’s emotional moments, particularly in the second half, are yet another positive aspect of the film.
Fighter’s soundtrack and song selection are disappointing. The background score isn’t very good, with the exception of the Vandemataram tune. If this feature had been improved, the impact may have been even greater. A few exchanges bring Uri to memory. There will inevitably be similarities to previous patriotic movies because the movie’s plot is built on a template.
Given its genre, the film may be more appealing to an urban than a rural audience. This might somewhat hurt the box office chances. The pre-interval’s airborne action segment is excellent, but the interval ends suddenly.
