Review
Renowned for his adaptable parts, Rao Ramesh plays the protagonist in this movie and does a fantastic job portraying a middle-class man who is having financial difficulties. The crowd is moved by his presentation, particularly the middle-class folks. Ankith Koyya, who portrays his son, is accompanying him. With his comedic timing, Ankith captures hearts once more following a respectable performance in Aay.
Ramya Pasupuleti makes a good impression on screen and gives a good performance; her sequences with Ankith Koyya notably make the audience smile. Indraja does a great job portraying the conscientious housewife who keeps the family together. Ajay, Praveen, and Harshvardhan, who play supporting roles, are also good in them.
The narration could be better, even though the story is straightforward. The film’s tone is lifted by the pre-climax and climax in the second half, which is passably dull despite the first half’s occasional humor.
It’s astonishing that with an actor like Rao Ramesh on board, the director didn’t take advantage of the chance to completely explore the emotional depth. Had the film had a higher emotional content, it could have had a greater impact.
Although Ramya Pasupuleti does a good job in the part, the character might have used more development to be genuinely entertaining. In the future, perhaps, she’ll be able to secure parts with deeper character development.
Even though some of the comedic bits are still appropriate for certain audiences, others seem old and could have used better scripting.
Conclusion
Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam is a comedy drama featuring a good amount of enjoyable moments overall. Ankith Koyya heightens the comedy, while Rao Ramesh is excellent in his part. However, there are screenplay problems that cause the film to falter at times, and several scenes could have been performed more skillfully. This fun movie is great for the whole family to see if you like lighthearted comedies.
