Review
After a lengthy absence, Raghava Lawrence is back with a big-budget action drama that satisfies the needs of broad audiences. Lawrence looks terrific playing the part of Rudhra, and it’s fun to watch him act viciously during the combat scenes with his trademark comic timing and dancing skills.
Priya Bhavani Shankar briefly makes an appearance, mostly in the early half. She performs a wonderful job, and her moments with Raghava Lawrence are enjoyable to watch.
The second half of the movie is a major advantage since it is packed with action and emotional situations that uplift the audience as a whole. The climax is very well-executed. The climax’s message is adequately communicated.
This is where the tale falls short. The entire plot may be predicted, not just the moment after that. This type of narrative has been popular with viewers for a very long time. Thirumaaran, the author of the novel, need to have given the plot some unexpected turns to make it more engrossing. Instead, he makes the poor decision to use a typical vengeance drama format.
As was already said, the second half is superior to the first. In the first half, one is left wondering what the plot of the film is and why Lawrence agreed to tell this tale. However, the events that take place in the second half make clear what the filmmaker wanted to communicate with the movie.
In addition to drafting a rather standard screenplay, the filmmaker paid little attention to characterizations.
