Review
In a remarkable performance, Nani plays a man who holds his rage inside during the week until letting it all out on Saturdays. He does a strong and convincing job of capturing the complexity of this character.
As the brutal police officer Daya, SJ Suryah dazzles in the part, lending a certain intensity to it. One of his strongest performances to date, his face-off confrontations with Nani are especially captivating, and his sardonic line delivery adds a funny touch.
Priyanka Mohan has a strong performance, and she and Nani have good chemistry together. Even if they don’t really interact romantically, they nevertheless add to the story.
Notwithstanding a captivating idea, the movie has problems with its story. Even having his background from Ante Sundaraniki, Vivek Athreya still has trouble executing screenplays. While some sequences work well, some don’t.
The picture moves slowly in the first half, which is mostly devoted to character introductions. Despite having a solid beginning, the second half falters around the conclusion, which may have had a greater impact.
Even while Abhirami and Aditi Balan contribute to the emotional depth of the story, their roles should have been enhanced for a more compelling read. The character of Murali Sharma may have been written more skillfully.
Those who would have a more frenetic pace might be put off by the film’s long running length. Overall interest might have been increased with a tighter script, particularly in the face-off sequences.
Conclusion
All things considered, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is a fun action drama with excellent performances by Nani and SJ Suryah and a noteworthy soundtrack. Its impact is slightly lessened, though, by the first half’s length and certain dull narrative sections. Get your tickets right away to ensure a fun-filled weekend. Don’t delay.
