Vidudhala Part 1

Vidudhala Part 1 Movie in iBOMMA. The highly renowned and award-winning director Vetrimaaran is the creator of films like Visaranai, Asuran, Kaaka Muttai, etc. His most recent work is the Tamil film Viduthalai (Part 1), which was released on March 31.

The movie is released today after being dubbed into Telugu as Vidudhala Part 1 two weeks ago. In the movie, Soori, a comedian, plays the lead role, and Vijay Sethupathi plays the antagonist. This increases interest in the movie. In Telugu, will Vetrimaaran succeed? Let’s have a look.

Short Story

The notorious and vicious separatist commander of Praja Dalam, Master (Vijay Sethupathi), is at war with the authorities. He is responsible for the devastating train bombing that killed numerous innocent bystanders. He is referred to as a “Ghost” since he cannot be found or captured. The government establishes Operation Ghosthunt in an effort to find Master.

The police and the administration, however, are working very hard to make this operation successful. The police department hires a minor policeman named Kumaresan (Soori) to work as a driver. He is an upright police officer with a kind heart. Numerous terrible events that occurred to him at work motivated him to establish himself as a police officer and defend his position. Kumaresan makes an attempt to find Master on this expedition.

Performence

Soori’s transition from a comic to a serious police officer Kumaresan deserves appreciation. Thanks to director Vetrimaaran, who created well-rounded characters in the movie and carefully selected the greatest performers for them, he astounded with his part and performance. As the infamous naxalite Master, Vijay Sethupathy is, as always, spectacular and brilliant.

In the movie, Vijay appears in a naked scene that was censored but still demonstrates his bravery and devotion to the role. As police chief, Gautham Menon greatly enhances and weighs the situation. The transformation of female star Bhavani Sri into a de-glam character is noteworthy. Her contribution to the movie is equally important. In the movie, ruthless police officers are depicted. The acting of Rajiv Menon, Balaji Sakthivel, and Chetan is impressive.

Technical Aspect

The writing and directing of Vetrimaaran are exceptional. He does the same thing to Vidudhala. The individuals and the tale that surrounds them are intense and complex. The images are arresting. With the superb camera work, DOP Velraj demonstrates his strengths. Songs don’t play a big role in the movie, and Ilaiyaraaja couldn’t really give the melodies right. Maestro, meanwhile, is back with a new soundtrack. It’s okay to edit. Unfortunately, the narration moves slowly and there are some length problems.

Review

Vetrimaaran returns to his favourite subject of socio-political. He has once again attempted one such with Vidudhala. Given that he is master of the genre, he dominated the film with his craft. Story-wise, it is very simple, thin and predictable.

But it has a lot of depth. Like all Vetri’s films where it is about underdog or common man, here the story is led by an ordinary police constable Kumaresan who takes the centre-stage. He is innocent, honest and sincere to his job. Vetri chose perfect cast to portray the emotions intensely and impactfull. He scored brownie points here.

The first half centres on Soori, his surroundings, and the string of events that lead to his misfortune. Director Vetri also forcefully establishes the conflict at the same time. The movie opens with a train segment when the tragedy and plot are revealed. The conflict of the movie also begins here, and it does it immediately. The spectacular sights and aesthetics add to the story’s storytelling.

Vidudhala, however, is not without its problems or shortfalls. The narration moves slowly and occasionally drags out the tale, which is predictable. The entire hunt for the Master (Vijay Sethupathi) scenario in the second half is a key scene in the movie.

This might have been demonstrated much more effectively. Despite Kumaresan knowing who and where Master is, he doesn’t flee and wait for the cops to attack. It’s not a story that’s told well. The climax sequence merits greater presentation and composition. Although overdone, the nudity sequences nonetheless have a significant impact.

Overall, what sets Vidudhala apart from other films and elevates it above the competition is its severe representation and genuine presentation. Not everyone should practise vidudhala. If you have weak hearts, you should avoid watching it. But attempt this.
