Review
Zebra’s central idea is really striking. The initial sequence does a wonderful job of establishing Surya’s character. The viewers will remain interested in the sequences as Surya tries to earn Rs 5 crores in 4 days and the unforeseen drama that occurs amongst the characters. The film’s primary attractions are Satyadev’s portrayal and a few comedic moments. The director’s moments that connect Satyadev and Daali Dhananjaya are particularly noteworthy.
Overall, “Zebra” had enjoyable parts that worked well in certain spots along with terrific drama. All of the performers provide really strong performances. Even in somber circumstances, Satyadev’s timing allowed him to transition seamlessly into his role. Daali Dhananjaya’s on-screen persona also makes an impression.
Even while Satyadev and Daali Dhananjaya’s personalities and Eashvar Karthic’s plot are both quite remarkable, there are moments when the narrative drags. Some important sequences don’t make sense together. Along with the hero’s persona, the antagonist and heroine characters in particular had to have been created with greater vigor. What happens if funds are inadvertently transferred to another person’s account? It would have been better to write the drama that develops in this scene.
What kind of mindset would an average bank employee have in such a circumstance if he had to acquire Rs 5 crores in only 4 days? How is he going to behave differently? More effective demonstration of problems like these would have been preferable. Despite this, writer-director Eashvar Karthic was able to improve the material.
Conclusion
Zebra has a strong central topic, compelling human drama, and some entertaining components. Satyadev’s and the other actors’ performances, along with a few exciting parts, are also outstanding. However, Zebra’s shortcomings include several dull moments in the second half and a lackluster script in some parts. Overall, the viewer will be somewhat engaged by the crime and suspense thriller centered around money.
